CAST OFF FOR FABULOUS ADVENTURE !

Step on Board and enjoy everything a cruise on Southern Cross has to offer…

Explore Northland's Bay of Islands or cruise the sparkling Auckland Hauraki Gulf. The perfect yacht to make your outing enjoyable. Our hire options are an excellent way to celebrate either a special occasion or your annual Xmas party, company anniversary or other corporate function. Southern Cross is an excellent choice for day, evening, overnight or extended cruises for small or large groups.

Let us make it a day to remember for all the right reasons!

Designed and built by William Garden & Hudson Boat Builders Taiwan in July 1979 Southern Cross is an ocean going 58' (overall) Force 50 Ketch purpose built for off shore sailing. She has sailed around the world twice and spent many years as a mission boat in the Solomon Islands.

With a 2m draft round bilge hull, wide spread high bow and excellent above-water line height, along with her gross displacement weight of 50 tonne, Southern Cross is engineered for maximum visibility, stability and dry deck harbour cruising.

The hull is one-piece moulded Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic and solid teak, with a Ford Lehman diesel engine that allows for very comfortable cruising at around 6 knots. In keeping with nautical traditions the interior is intricately crafted in teak with abalone inlays featured on the doors. The parquet flooring is decked in the latest technology polypropylene carpet, especially designed for underfoot comfort and grip.

Suitable for all weather conditions, she's big, spacious and surveyed for up to 30 passengers (including crew) with plenty of room at the stern and more comfortable seating in the two large saloons below which boast high walk through ceilings seldom found in charter yachts.
